Hang joins WBA as a Research Analyst after graduating from her PhD in Environmental Economics and Management from the Australian National University (ANU). Her research is interdisciplinary in nature which draws upon theory of the firm, environmental economics and human geography. Her doctoral research focuses on how environmental risks such as natural disasters and air pollution policies affect firm strategies and productivity. She has also researched on foreign direct investment, human development and corporate sustainability.  

Beside her research, she worked as an Environmental Economist consultant at the World Bank office in Hanoi for over 3.5 years. Her work scope spans across environmental policies and sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable farmers, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and blue economy development in Vietnam. She supported the design and implementation of large-scale research grants, coordinated major reports, and engaged with the Vietnamese government and other stakeholders to promote environmental and economic policy dialogues.
