Shinkin Central Bank (SCB) is the central financial institution for the network of banks in Japan. Shinkin banks are cooperative regional financial institutions. It was established in 1950, and currently has a network of 254 Shinkin banks and approximately 7,100 branches, employing a total of 1,248 staff. Shinkin Central Bank is headquartered in Tokyo and has an international network with offices in New York, Hongkong, Shanghai and Bangkok, and subsidiaries in London and Singapore. In 2021, Shinkin Central Bank had USD 394.38 billion in total assets.
