E.Leclerc is a French cooperative operating in the retail business. With the first store opened in 1949, the company now operates over 700 locations in the form of hypermarkets and supermarkets across France, and also has stores in Spain, Portugal, Poland and Slovenia. Scamark, a group subsidiary, specialises in the manufacture and marketing of consumer food products. Most of Leclerc's purchase and supply operations are covered by Siplec, another subsidiary that sources a portfolio of over 16,000 products for the parent company.
