Alicorp is one of the largest consumer goods company in Latin America, with over 150 own brands specialising in packaged foods such as pasta, sauces, edible oils from soybean and sunflower, flour and confectionery as well as personal and home care products. Alicorp recently expanded its oil seed crushing division by acquiring Fino & Sao, one of the largets such companies in Bolivia. Through its subsidiary Vitapro, Alicorp is also involved in the aquaculture sector through the provision of feed and nutritional solutions for shrimp, salmon and other fish.

The baseline assessment only evaluated corporate commitments publicly disclosed in English and available during the September-October 2020 research period. While the company discloses some information in English on its website, most of its sustainability disclosure is in Spanish. However, Alicorp provides some evidence of initiatives in the environment and nutrition dimensions. In particular, the company demonstrates efforts to reduce food loss and waste, improve the nutritional quality of its products and adopt responsible marketing strategies.
