Segment ranking summary

Salling Group ranks 106th in food and beverage processors and 34th among food retailers. The company ranks in the lower middle grouping of companies in both segments, highlighting that, while it has taken steps to address some topics, its disclosure could be improved. This is demonstrated by the company’s best performing measurement area in environment, where it ranks in the top 25 among food retailers and top 80 of food and beverage processors. While Salling Group has provided disclosure on relevant topics, it could improve by addressing issues its higher ranking peers have already disclosed on, including greenhouse gas emissions. In nutrition, the company ranks in similar positions to environment due to a lack of disclosure across most topics. Going forward, the company’s good disclosure in governance and strategy highlights that the company is in a position to translate its overall sustainability strategy into practice across the other measurement areas.
