Trend

EDF receives a trend score of +. If the company were reassessed in the near future, its score would likely improve. This is due to the progressive closure of the company’s coal plants. At the end of 2020, EDF had three remaining coal-fired power plants. It plans to close one of these in spring 2021, another by 2024 and the last one by 2026 though it is considering reconverting that plant to biomass in 2022. EDF is also developing several low-carbon business activities including green hydrogen, services in energy renovation, the marketing of heat pumps and the development of vehicle-to-grid solutions.
