Nintendo has commitments to make its products accessible to diverse populations, including the elderly and people with disabilities. It also provides information on its employment of people with disabilities. Additionally, the company partners with the non-profit Girls Make Games for summer camps designed to inspire girls to take up careers in the gaming industry.

Nintendo works with the non-profit Digital Schoolhouse to use games to help children learn  programming, which is a distinctive example of use of technology to inspire basic digital skills development.
